Portugal's hidden paradise | The Peneda-Gerês National Park - Forests, waterfalls and best hikes

Wow! The Peneda-Gerês National Park completely blew us away. This has to be Portugal's best National Park. We hiked to stunning waterfalls, went wild swimming in crystal clear waters and discovered ancient cobbled streets in some of Portugal's oldest villages.

After four weeks in Portugal this was by far our favourite part of the country. The colours, space, freedom and wilderness was so unexpected and we loved every moment of it. From staying in an Airbnb with drinking water from an ancient underground spring, to ambling over rocks to get to secret swimming spots, there was magic around every corner.
