The Faro District in general is Portugual's southernmost region. Imagine beautiful Atlantic beaches with golf resorts in surrounding areas. It lies between Lagos and Faro, and the entire coast is filled with beautiful Portuguese Villas (many for rent).

It feels in many ways small-town with good local vibes. However, it was apparent that this is a great getaway spot for any Europeans on holiday. What you don't see much of there are Americans.

The cliffs, caves and rock formations give it an incredibly beautiful rugged appeal. While the beaches are lovely, it was the views from the water that truly made me grateful to be alive on this earth.

There are cute restaurants above the cliffs with good views and great seafood. This place was special, and I would go back again tomorrow. I do feel I need to throw the compliment out to the many, many fit Portuguese natives on the beach in great beachwear. Thank you for adding to the beauty.
