In Parliament today, MPs kicked off the debate on the proposed $33 billion Fortitude Budget, unveiled by Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat last week. We take a look at the highlights.

Singapore looks set to restart trade with China with a ‘fast lane’ scheme that will allow essential business and official travel between Singapore and six Chinese provinces. Under this scheme, approved travellers do not need to serve mandatory quarantine. We speak to transport and housing editor Karamjit Kaur on the possible implications of these fast lane arrangements and whether its success indicates when leisure travel can resume.
