Prague is famous for well-preserved castles, Baroque and Gothic cathedrals, medieval squares, dreamy bridges, and a lively arts scene. It's known for its centuries of history and cultural heritage, where the medieval heart of Europe can be felt in its cobblestone streets. Prague was the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia and the main residence of several Holy Roman Emperors, most notably Charles IV (r. 1346–1378)
