Prague, Czechia - 4K Travel Documentary

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has many nicknames, such as the “The City of 100 Towers”, “The Golden City”, or “The Mother of Cities”,
and it is certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

In this video we would like to share with you some views of Prague, many of them filmed at beautiful sunset light, all captured at 4K UHD definition.

00:13 - Slavonic Island (Slovansky ostrov)
This island on the Vltava River has significant landscaping, and it is dominated by the spectacular neo-Renaissance Zofin Palace - a traditional venue for balls and concerts.
There are several places to rent rowboats and pedal boats, and a playground for children.

00:43 - Strelecky Island (Strelecky ostrov)
This island on the Vltava River is a known romantic place hidden in the shade of mature trees under the Legion Bridge (Most Legii).
It enchants visitors with its old-time atmosphere and exceptional views of the city.

01:46 - Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti)
This is the most significant square of historic Prague, founded in the 12th century, and has been witness to many historical events.
Old Town Square is dominated by the Old Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, the Baroque Church of St Nicholas,
and the famous medieval mechanical tower clock called Orloj.

02:34 - Charles Bridge (Karluv most)
This is Prague’s oldest bridge and it was built to replace the Judith Bridge that had been badly damaged by floods in 1342.
It is built of sandstone blocks, flanked at each end by fortified towers.
From 1683 to 1928, 30 statues of saints were carved to decorate Charles bridge.

03:09 - Vitkov Hill
Vitkov Hill is overgrown with a park, and it offers a unique view of almost the entire city of Prague. The park is dominated by a bronze statue of Jan Zizka, one of the ten largest equestrian statues in the world.

03:40 - Upper Castle (Vysehrad)
Upper castle is a famous historical fort located in the middle of Prague offering its visitors amazing views of the city.
According to a legend, the castle, built on a hill above the Vltava river, was the first seat of Czech dukes.

04:27 - Letna Hill (Letenske sady)
This extensive park with grassy areas and mature trees, is popular for spending free time participating in sports, walking, picnicking or relaxing in the summer garden restaurant of the Letna chateau. Letna Hill offers the most iconic and known views of the Prague city and the Vltava river.
