The Prague Zoological Garden, "Zoologická zahrada hl. m. Prahy" in Czech, is a zoo in the Czech Republic capital city of Prague. Opened in 1931 with the goal to "advance study of zoology, protect wildlife and educate the public" in the northern district of Prague. This zoo occupies 58 hectares with 50 hectares use for exhibits, and house around 5000 animals from 676 species. It is rated as the seventh best zoo in the world by Forbes Travel Guide in 2007, and the 5th in the world by TripAdvisor.
