It was fascinating to see around 200 members of an elephant herd began to cross the main road, while the passing vehicles stopping by to help them. The villagers noticed that this large herd was about to cross the road and they voluntarily blocked off the road to prevent any accidents.
These elephants are living in the forest bordering to the village. The elephants are moving to towards the river flowing across the village. That river has been dried up in the previous season. Now with the shower of monsoon rain, the river has filled with water. With their keen sense elephants know where they can find water. After a long dry period, a fresh water source is like a treasure core to them. They walk miles in search of water and cool their body. It’s so lovely to see how they carefully shelter their babies in the middle of the herd.
With the support of the villagers elephant crossed smoothly without facing any accidents. The people didn’t mind waiting for the elephant as they respect and care these majestic animals.
