Schaffhausen is a town in northern Switzerland with a population of about 36.000. It is located on the shores of the River Rhine (Rhein). Many houses of the traffic-free old town have oriel windows or are decorated with painted facades like the house „zum Ritter“.
Don’t forget to visit the Munot fortress.
The Rhine Falls are about 5 km from Schaffhausen.
