In this episode of Southern Utah Hidden Gems, we are hiking Yants Flats or the Candy Cane mountains. This hike will leave you awed and enthralled by how magnificent geology can really be with the stripes, pockets, colors, and shifting landscapes created by the colorado plateau. I will also take you over to the Anasazi Valley Trail where we can witness a 1,000-year-old Piute farmstead home as well as an entire cliffside full of Anasazi Petroglyphs and Pictographs. At the end of this episode, we head over to Sand Hollow State Park to cool off in the cool waters of this gorgeous desert oasis.

Hi! Welcome to the Culture Trekking Community! My name is Janiel Green, a Physician Assistant, Scuba Diver, Dog lover, Photographer, and Videographer! I love to make people smile, am known for not beating around the bush (unless it is in my garden). I also tend to say it as I see it before my brain can tell me its probably not socially acceptable to do so. My spirit animal is a Sea Turtle, I hate mushrooms, and don’t trust a man who lays on the romance too thick.

I love to travel the world, connect with different cultures, and find sustainable adventure. I have explored the most off the beaten path places, and cultures throughout the world. This year I’m taking you along as I explore my hometown, UTAH! From Anasazi Ruins in Southern Utah, to the High Uinta Mountains best waterfalls and camping locations.

With over a decade of professional photography experience, and a self-taught videographer and editor. I also want to teach you a few tricks of the trade to make better travel videos, and take better travel photos - even if you are a solo traveler.

Most of all, I want to help you, my Culture Trekkers, learn to enjoy those little things in life that make the soul sing. Life isn’t always easy, and I have had my fair share of heartache. I have been through the thick of it with those internal battles we all have. Now I’m completely dedicated to inspiring you on the inside to better explore the outside and find beauty between the lines of the contrasts of life. I’m so excited to have you here!
