Plzen (also known as Pilsen) is known for its great quality beers and beer lovers should visit the Pilsner Urquell Brewery – where the world’s first lager beer was brewed.

The UNESCO world heritage listed town of Cesky Krumlov is home to the impressive Cesky Krumlov State Castle. Around 45km northeast from the Cesky Krumlov lies Trebon – a town dotted with fishponds and spas. Trebon Chateau is the best example of the town’s rich Bohemian architecture and the Trebonsko Protected Landscape region offers great hiking.

Telc – another UNESCO listed town displays Italian Renaissance architecture like the classic Renaissance chateau and well-preserved historic squares. The university cities of Olomouc and Brno are great places to have a beer and explore the Olomouc Castle and museums. Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape is another addition to Czechia’s long list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Located in Lednice town, it is home to two royal castles and a wonderful botanical garden.
