I am back again guys after a long break. This time I decided to go to the city of Batumi with my friends and thought I'll show you guys around the city. Even though the trip was partially a flop due to rain and accommodation problems, We got some decent footage to add it to the vlog. Also, My beloved cameraman decided to get a Gimbal finally but he is still learning to operate it and master the technique. That's why there's a quality issue in some parts of the video. Anyways, from next vlog we will be increasing the production quality.
--------- About Batumi
Batumi is the second largest city of Georgia and the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, located on the coast of the Black Sea in Georgia's southwest. It is situated in a subtropical zone at the foot of the Caucasus. Much of Batumi's economy revolves around tourism and gambling (it is nicknamed "The Las Vegas of the Black Sea"), but the city is also an important sea port and includes industries like shipbuilding, food processing and light manufacturing. Since 2010, Batumi has been transformed by the construction of modern high-rise buildings, as well as the restoration of classical 19th-century edifices lining its historic Old Town.
Ali and nino statue: The statue depicts eternal love and understanding between nations. It was named after the ‘Ali and Nino’ novel by an Azerbaijani author using the pseudonym Kurban Said. It tells a story of a young Muslim Azerbaijani man and a Georgian Christian princess in time of the First World War. The eight metre statues, of a man and a woman are the work of Georgian sculptor Tamar Kvesitadze. Both statues move, changing their position every 10 minutes, until they become one. At night the sculptures are lit with changing colours, a magnetically beautiful sight.
