???????? COLOSSAL AIRSHIP Hangar Becomes Europe's LARGEST MARKET! | RIGA, Latvia | RIGA TRAVEL 2020

???????? RIGA, LATVIA - Welcome back to Riga, Latvia for Part 3 of my 4 part series from the Baltics. In this 2020 Baltics Travel series, we are not only visiting Riga, but also Tallinn, Estonia.

If you're planning a Riga trip and looking for some things to do in Riga, my series could be right up your street. In previous videos, we've visited the art nouveau Riga Old Town, Riga's Freedom Monument, and The Corner House, which is the building which formerly housed the Cheka (or the KGB).

In this video, we head to the bus station area to visit Europe's largest market - Riga Central Market. It's situated in former airship hangers dating back to 1920. Each hanger is filled with either meat, fish, dairy, and produce. We have some Latvian food such as zefir (common across the region and Russia) as well as sprats on rye bread (a classic example of food in Riga!)

The Riga food market is HUGE and is an ideal opportunity to experience the daily life of a Latvian in Riga.

I also cover some details on my experience as a Digital Nomad in Riga. As well as producing videos for this channel, I run a website/blog, write Ebooks and teach business English online. As a result, I stay in Airbnbs long-term and need certain things like good wifi and suitable amenities. I'd definitely recommend Riga for Digital Nomads!
