Welcome to the incredibly beautiful city of Krakow, Poland!

We started our day with a walk down FLORIANSKA STREET to the BARBICAN FORTRESS and ST. FLORIAN’S GATE (free).

Once we were in OLD TOWN KRAKOW, we visited RYNEK GLOWNY, the massive main square in Krakow (free). Don’t miss the trumpeter who plays every hour on the hour, and the delicious food market stalls too!

Next, we rented bikes from KRK BIKE RENTAL. It was less than $25 to rent 2 bikes for the entire day — what a great deal!

Then we rode to MEHO CAFE for breakfast. This was not only delicious, but it was a fantastic green space to start our day in Poland! Plus it was only $11 for 2 breakfasts, 1 coffee, and 1 tea.

It was a beautifully pleasant ride through HENRYK JORDAN PARK and BLONIA PARK on our way to KOŚCIUSZKO MOUND ($10 entry for 2 adults). I know, it looks like a pile of grass, but it is a fascinating piece of Polish history!
*Shameless plug for our episode filmed in Solothurn, Switzerland :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPJPIrxQJgQ&t=18s

After incredible views of Krakow Old Town and the Tatra Mountains, we rode our bikes to see another interesting site: ZAKRZOWEK (free). This place resembles Croatia, so be sure to watch our video to see it for yourself!

By this point, we were thirsty. So we pedaled our bikes back to Krakow Old Town and stopped at THE LEAKY CAULDRON (Dziorawy Kociol in Polish) for Harry Potter Butterbeer and a Love Potion drink with dry ice! ($8 for 2 drinks)

We wandered through WAWEL CASTLE grounds and caught a glimpse of a fire-breathing dragon. Yep, you read that correctly. There’s a DRAGON that breathes FIRE every 5 minutes of the day! So neat!

Our last stop of the day was Kazimierz, the KRAKOW GHETTO / JEWISH QUARTER. We had some delicious Polish food (that’s an understatement). Don’t miss the pierogie food truck ($4) because it’s a traditional Polish food, or the chimney cakes from Chimney Cake Bakery ($2.75). Plus we tried Israeli coffee ($4) and a pita plate ($7.75) at Cheder restaurant.

Honestly, we LOVED our few days in Krakow, Poland and can’t wait to visit again! What else should we do on our next trip to Poland? Tell us the best things to do in Krakow in the comments below!
