Krakow Food Tour | MORE Than Just Pierogi

I went to Krakow for the weekend and decided to try local Polish food. I had heard of the famous Polish pierogi, for example, but I wanted to see what else there is to try.

Polish cuisine doesn't have a great reputation. There aren't many Polish restaurants outside of Poland, but I wanted to see for myself just how good...or how bad....Polish food really is.

These are the dishes I tried:

- Lamb with potato dumplings from the Lesser Poland region
- Zurek, a fermented rye soup
- Bigos, a hearthy hunter's stew
- Pierogi at an authentic Polish milk bar
- Random mystery pastries
- Beers and drinks at various places
- Late night kebab
- Kotlet Schabowy, a pork schnitzel

What did I learn from tasting all of this food? The Polish do meat really well, and I like some of the dumplings...but not all of them. And they have weird pickles on their kebabs. But all in all, there were some definite highs and lows in this food trip!
