10 Biggest Water Slides in the World

Record-breaking speeds, insane heights and un-matched doses of adrenaline, these 10 biggest water slides challenge the nerves and bravado of its riders... buckle up, it's going to be a speedy fall.

Number 10:
Jumeirah Sceirah-Wild Wadi, Dubai
This insane water slide opened in early September of 2012 and since then, Jumeirah Sceirah has been everyone’s favorite. With a height of 32 meters, this water slide sits in the clouds of the Wild Wadi waterpark in Dubai with an average ride time of almost 10 seconds but those ten seconds would be the OMG moments of your life.
Many of you will be aware that Dubai is home to the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa and this slide is half of its tallness, so trying this water slide must be a go too.
And while we are on Jumeirah Sceirah, don’t forget to have a slide down two waterslides and three exciting tornadoes in the world famous tantrum alley of this park as well.

Number 9:
Hurricane Slide- Klondike Kavern WaterPark, France
Look at this massive structure, can you believe that this huge mass of innumerable pieces was built in Poland and then was transferred to Monta France thousands of miles away. How they did that is a mystery to me but this 45 meters long slide is a must ride for everyone.
Hurricane water slide in the wave island in monta France sends riders down the slope at speeds of over 50 miles per hour with an average time taken to hit the water down is 9 seconds.
Like many water slides, the hurricane does not have a capsule or trapdoor which drops the
rider into a freefall. The rider simply lays at the top of the waterslide and slides down
by the force of the water.

Number 8:
Deep Water Dive slide- State of Kentucky
Based in the State of Kentucky and at the height of 37 meters, it is the tallest body slide in North America and the tallest drop capsule slide on the planet.
The average time of the ride is almost eight seconds deep water dive and like vertigo, it has a cute little brother in the form of another slide attached to it but much shorter in height.
This slide is the main attraction of the Kentucky Kingdom’s water park. The thrill ride requires visitors to stand on a trapdoor platform that quickly collapses after a three-second countdown. Riders are then taken down the 377-foot-long slide at a 70-degree angle before decelerating in water at the end of the slide.

Number 7:
Captain Space Maker Slide- Aqualandia Water Park, Venice
By far the tallest water slide in Europe, its height of more than 41 meters Captain Spacemaker is the signature ride of the award-winning Aqualandia water park. This mega-water slide transports three or four riders on rafts down a 60-degree incline while reaching a top speed of 62 mph before its splashy and crowd-pleasing ending. Based 30 miles northwest of Venice, Aqualandia has been named Italy’s best water park nine times and was recently named the best water park in Europe.
The best thing about the slide is that the view suddenly turns into a vast nothingness of the sea in the end.

Number 6:
Vertigo Slide- Aqualandia Water Park, Spain
Vertigo means a whirling dizzy sensation as if everything is spinning or moving around you and this slide is all about that. This one-of-its-kind water slide is at the Aqualandia water park in Benidorm Spain. This is one of the few water slides on this list that features two different slopes; one slightly longer than the other. In case you know someone chickens out by its seemingly never-ending length of 34 meters.
The shorter slope is, however, 27 meters and it takes the rider down in just seven seconds. The longer for braver hearts give a descending speed of over 62 miles per hour sending the rider in water in just 6 seconds.
The crux of vertigo is sliding down more than 9 stories at a record-breaking speed and plummeting into the water with an electrifying splash!

Number 5:
Summit Plummet Slide - Blizzard Beach Water Park
As much as this slide is respected for its size, it is equally appreciated for its unique theme. Summit plummet is styled after a winter ski mountain and riders appear to take a ski lift to the base of the waterslide which sits in a snowy cabin at the top of the mountain-themed structure.
Based in Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, summit plummet is one of the tallest freefall body waterslides, it starts at the superb height of 37 meters and an average ride is almost ten seconds. This slide is situated in Orlando Florida and the max speed a rider usually gains is 60 miles per hour. It requires a minimum height of 48 inches on the part of the rider to enjoy this slide for the safety of riders…
