We are going to start this video with one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which also is one of the places in Europe with the highest quality of life. We are talking about Florence, Italy.
If you are an enthusiast of Italian culture and lifestyle like I am, you will definitely feel great in the capital of Tuscany, which is Florence, or Firenze in Italian.
Restaurants, cafes, museums, interesting people year round, Florence is a cultural center in Europe.
There are two important downsides in Florence though. The first one is real estate prices.
The other disadvantage of Florence is that in Italy, taxes and bureaucracy are quite complicated.

The second city in the list is Budapest, the capital of Hungary and one of the largest cities in Central Europe.
Budapest offers anything you can expect from a large European city in terms of quality of life: great entertainment options, direct flights to most European capitals as well as cities in the US and Asia. It also offers a high level of safety considering its size, and a climate with well defined 4 seasons, although some days in summer can be extremely hot, and some in winter can be extremely cold.

Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and it is a sort of undiscovered gem in a way. Porto has an excellent quality of life but much lower price tags than Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, which is also featured in this list by the way.
If you want to live in Portugal in a city with a high level of comfort and amenities, but if you are not a fan of crowds, Porto can be a pretty convenient alternative to Lisbon, which is also a great option.

The next city is Valencia. I am still surprised how Valencia still remains a city relatively undiscovered by tourists and expats coming to spend short or long periods of time in Spain. While many people know and talk about Madrid and Barcelona, which are indeed two excellent cities, very few people mention Valencia.
In my humble opinion Valencia doesn’t lack a lot in terms of quality of life when compared to Madrid and Barcelona, and in many aspects, it is actually superior to the two largest cities in Spain.
You have the beach in Valencia which is oftentimes less crowded than the options in Barcelona, and the city has also a very decent nightlife.

Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, and just like Valencia in Spain, it is quite an underrated city among expats, digital nomads, hitchhikers and snake oil salesmen in Europe.
Zagreb has every convenience you can expect from a capital city, but with a slower paced lifestyle, where people really seem to enjoy more life than just running around to make more money.

Warsaw is the capital of Poland and in my opinion, also another among the most underrated cities in Europe. While its buildings might not be as beautiful as the ones in Prague or Budapest, the quality of life in the capital of Poland is actually extremely high.
We can start with the fact that Warsaw is actually one of the safest cities in Europe when compared to other cities with a similar size.
Despite its size, Warsaw is not as touristy as Prague or Vienna.
The climate of Warsaw is also very mild in summer.

Lisbon is the second city in this video in Portugal, which is actually the only country who managed to put two cities in the list. It is not a coincidence that Portugal is currently one of the top countries sought by expats within Europe, as well as from outside the European borders.
As a matter of fact, It is easy to understand why a lot of EU and non-EU citizens are moving to Lisbon.
The city’s infrastructure is pretty good in many aspects such as transportation and healthcare. Portugal is extremely expat friendly. Cost of services is still way below most Western European countries and the city has one of the best climates in all of Europe.

Tallinn is the last city in our list today, and also the Northernmost city that I consider having an excellent quality of life combined with good economic prospects in Europe.
Tallinn is a fast developing city, highly international, safe and with good entertainment options especially considering it’s relatively small size.
The old town of Tallinn is one of the most beautiful in all of Europe, and its pedestrian streets have a very medieval feeling.
The capital of Estonia is an excellent city if you are an expat. Even though Estonian is the official language of the country and it is a pretty difficult one, you will have a very hard time finding someone that actually speaks just Estonian.
Tallinn is a very favorable place for doing business.
