If you have a day to spare while visiting Poland, why not going to Ciechocinek to visit the brine graduation towers. Those wooden structures are huge and are more than 150 years old! They were making salt from brine using those things. Now it's mainly a tourist attraction and a sanatorium where you can breathe salty (and smelly) air hundreds of kilometers away from any sea.
