We are kicking off with a topic that is essential to achieving success in Unreal Engine: collaboration. Unreal Engine is designed from the ground up for teams and it’s easier than you think to get started using collaborative workflows.
Tom explores various source control options available, where to host your content, and how to set up your projects to use source control directly within the editor. Then we look at how to use techniques like level streaming to allow multiple developers to work in the same level simultaneously. Along the way, we discuss best practices for getting the most of these tools in your school.
