If you're ever in Chisinau and wondering where to go for a good drink and great food, this one's for you.

I started the day in Ciocana, one of the residential districts, and took the trolleybus into the center. Walked down Stefan cel Mare boulevard, passed the monument and the central park, then met up with friends. We tried vișinată, a local cherry liquor, before heading to the real highlight of the night.

Lake House turned out to be one of the coolest spots in the city. They brew their own craft beer right there, and the food was something else. Mussels, shrimp, ribs, potatoes, steak, all kinds of meat. Everything hit perfectly. We grabbed a huge mug of fresh craft beer, caught some football, and just enjoyed the evening like locals do.
