We’re visiting a local island in the Maldives for the first time—Maafushi. Before arriving, locals warned us that Maafushi might not be the best island to visit in the Maldives, but with a non-refundable booking, we kept an open mind and hoped for the best. Sadly, Maafushi in the Maldives wasn’t what we expected, and although we tried to stay positive while exploring, it made this a tricky video to film. Don’t worry though, our next local islands in the Maldives completely changed our experience, so it’s definitely not all doom and gloom.
