On 16th of December 2022, Balkans-Ukraine Cooperation Network held online discussion “Stakeholder Consultations on EU Enlargement Strategy to Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in the New Geopolitical Reality“.
Discussion was aimed at promoting the EU enlargement process with the participation of the Trio and the WB6 by reviving EU accession processes, Empowering civil society, Enhancing security, Increasing economic and business development cooperation and Improving educational, cultural and youth cooperation.
The main themes were as follows:
- Rethinking Eastern Partnership and Creating a New Partnership Platform for EU enlargement
- Changing EU enlargement strategy for strengthening European unity
- What the Trio can learn from the WB6 about EU integration
- Enhancing security within EU integration within the framework of The Kyiv Security Compact
- Joint approach in countering Russian false narratives and disinformation
