First flight with Ukraine refugees from Moldova to Germany

On March 25, 2022, more than 130 refugees from #Ukraine arrived in Germany from the Republic of Moldova. The flight was organized under the European Union’s Solidarity Platform. Germany was one of the first EU Member States participating in the reception of refugees from Ukraine, who have fled to the Republic of Moldova, among them mostly women, children and elderly.

#IOM has provided essential humanitarian assistance to those affected by the invasion, this includes tangible support such as food, non-food and hygiene items, cash, mental health and psychosocial support, as well as information campaigns to help prevent human trafficking and sexual exploitation and abuse.
