On 06.04.2021 rector of Antalya Academy of Tourism, Zafer Bikkenoglu, received the position of vice president at the Pakistan-Turkey Council for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality, as well as the Academy of Tourism in Antalya, was given the status of the official educational center of the organization in Turkey.
The aims of the organization are:
• Represent tourism interests at the national level, and its advocacy work involves promoting and supporting policies, programs, and activities that will benefit the sector's growth and development of Pakistan and Turkey Tourism Sector
• Encourage, support, and help develop tourism within Pakistan & Turkey.
• Act as negotiating body for members of the council and to make recommendations to government departments or agencies or other bodies concerning any measure which may be taken involving members and/or the travel industry in Pakistan & Turkey.
• Serve on or offer assistance to any government, statutory or International body in connection with tourism matters.
• To shape a dynamic tourism landscape for Pakistan in partnership with industry and community and Explore Turkey Tourism as a brother country.
