I returned to Moldova after 20 years...and I didn't know what to expect.

This is the country where I was born and raised-but also the place I couldn't wait to leave. A month before turning 16 I moved to the U.S. to chase big dreams. Life happened...I got married, had three kids, and traveled the world...but somehow, Moldova always felt far away.

Until now.

In this video, I'm taking my husband and kids to Moldova for the first time. We explore some of the most incredible and underrated places in Europe, including:
-The breathtaking cliffs and cave monastery at Orhei Vechi
-The world-famous underground wine cellars at Cricova Winery
-The largest wine collection on Earth at Milestii Mici
-The stunning Castel Mimi - home to the European presidential wine collection

We also explore Chisinau, walk through my childhood hometown and experience a local city festival in Balti.
This trip turned into something much deeper than travel...it became a journey of identity, memories and rediscovering a place I once left behind.
