Is Acropolis worth Visiting? | Athens, Plaka Neighborhood ???????? ????

In this Vlog we are visiting Acropolis in Athens
We arrived in Athens in the afternoon and after having a short rest at the hotel and lunch at the local tavern ( see the previous vlog) we went to explore Acropolis. Our travel experience began at the Plaka neighborhood that is also worth exploring separately, when visiting Athens and Acropolis in particular, since the Acropolis is located in Plaka's neighborhood.
Acropolis- is UNESCO World Heritage Site. The term “acropolis” means “high city”.
There are several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance.
The most famous is the Parthenon. The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis and dedicated to the goddess Athena. It was built in the mid- 5th century.
My personal recommendation is to visit Acropolis around 17:00- 18:00 when sun begins to go down and it is less hot and you can also enjoy the fascinating view of the whole of Athens and of course click marvelous pictures of the sunset.
This is my type of travel. I like to visit historical, archeological sites. And visiting Acropolis was a memorable, beautiful experience. As the evening went on, we continued to explore the Plaka neighborhood and had lunch at the best Tavern in Plaka - "Geros tou Moria" ( it is an old tavern, since 1926) and it serves authentic, delicious Greek food. But make sure to book table in advance.
