HI ! It's The Blonde Kyiv! I`m now preparing a playlist called Walking tour in Kyiv. This is my 6 video/episode in this series. I am going to show you the best of my city. What you see in my videos you won't find from any other tour guide
So without further ado let's begin

In this video
01:05 European square
02:50 Arch of International Friendship
04:48 Glass bridge

Now we go to the European square
European square Started to be called this way in 1996 and up un till today. During the Nazis occupation the plan was to name it after Adolf Hitler and in Soviet times - after Stalin.
From this place the electric tram runs down to the lower part of the city. IT was the first electric tram in Russia, and second in Europe (after Berlin)
This is the National Philharmonic Orchestra
And this was the Museum of Lenin but now is called Ukrainian House . Inside there is exhibition centre.
Now we go to the arch of international friendship.

By the way it is one of the ways to Central park of Kyiv

When it is warm and there is a good weather in Kyiv, you will see a lot of street musicians . By the way today is this type of a day :)

This ensemble represents union between Russian and Ukrainian nations .
Under the arch you can see two farmers , one of them is Ukrainian and the other one is Russian. They hold a symbol of the USSR .Here is one more monument in this ensemble, which shows very important historical event which is called “Pereyaslavska Rada” where Russia and Ukraine signed a unification agreement.
So you can see that Ukraine was together with Russia , according to Soviet vision from 17 century till 20 century .
But if you look at this arch you’ll see this crack , which shows the current political conflict situation between 2 countries .

Look at this nice view . You can see that Kyiv is a very hilly city. Before getting to the other side, you had to make a huge round and now it's very comfortable with this glass bridge, because it connects 2 hills. This bridge is pretty new , it was a present for Kyiv’s Bday from our Mayor
And here you can see a monument of Volodimir he baptized our country in the 10th century.

This is the Dnipro river and we divided Kyiv to the Left and right bank according to the route of the water
