I tried to learn to ski in Slavske, Ukraine! (Spoiler alert: it was not super successful.) After finding the Politekhnik slope was closed, we went to the top of Trostyan. We ate at a mountaintop cafe, rented some skis, and took a few runs down the лягушка slope. The best part of this day was the chan! A chan is like a Carpathian hot tub, and it was our first ever time in one. I explain how a chan works in the video -- it's a bit intense!

This was just Day 1 of our Slavske trip. The next day we went to Zakhar Berkut and did some actual skiing. Make sure you check out that video!

We liked it because it was central to all the slopes and within walking distance of the train station. Also our host was amazing! You will have to take taxis to all the slopes. You can also book rooms in their main building here: https://bit.ly/3xnCmSO
