We had such a great time on our first day in Ljubljana. This city really surprised us. The people we met, the food we ate, the sights we saw, everything was amazing.

We saw most of the city via the cities bike sharing program called BicikeLJ. For €1.00 you get unlimited 1 hour bike rides for 1 week. Its one €3.00 for the whole year.

Although Ljubljana wasn't originally on our list of cities to see in Europe we are so glad we added it. It was a definite highlight of our trip. We especially loved wondering around the city centre area and loved that it was car free.
The Ljubljana Castle offered an amazing view of the city and was completely free to visit if you don't go to any of the inner museums.
We also really enjoyed checking out the central market and doing some window shopping.
