Anything you hear about Ukraine in the mainstream media is negative, so we wanted to see what it was like for ourselves. We still have many cities and weeks left here however Kyiv absolutely blew us away. So many colourful and historic churches and cathedrals. We also couldn't ignore the memorials and shrines to the soldiers that fought and died in the East of Ukraine defending their country against Russia. Finally, we were left speechless in Independence Square where the Revolution of Dignity took place.
