Should Young people be vocal in good governance even though those they are likely to expose are supposedly be the one to give them opportunities?
Would you call out your boss for being corrupt ?
Would you be comfortable in calling out your boss for unfair treatment? Knowing very well they’ve got the last say during your appraisal?
Even before #covid ‘s disruptions, young people were already struggling to secure meaningful employment. Africa, the youngest continent with over 60% under 25, 95% of those employed, are in an informal contract. informal employment means employment without legal or social protection.
As young people continue to create & seek opportunities, should they call out bad governance & corruption even though those they are more likely to expose are the ones to give opportunities?
