Love it or hate it, the ultra-touristy Wieliczka Salt Mine is without a doubt one of the most impressive (though frustrating) manmade wonders on Earth. This 800-year old salt mine has been excavated from the 13th century onwards, and is one of the world's oldest tourist attractions.

Inside the mine, you'll find impressive salt statues, a cathedral made entirely of salt (icons and all!), massive salt caverns, amphitheatres, subterranean salt rivers and lakes, and plenty of historical information on this history of this important resource in Europe.

At $25 USD per ticket, this is not exactly a cheap tourist attraction by Polish standards, and the tour is laughably fast-paced (nearly non-stop walking), but it is an impressive spot to say the least.

Apologies for the horrendous audio and video quality compared to my other vlogs - filming in near total darkness, with some of the worst acoustics, made vlogging difficult! I have done the best I could in post-production to make this watchable! Enjoy the visit through one of Krakow's most infamous tourist spots.
