Greetings from Poland! The COLDEST That We’ve EVER Been

About 300 meters away from our workaway where we’ve been staying in Poland, was the entrance to the Dolina Koscieliska, which forms part of the Tatrzanka National Park. So we decided with this natural beauty so close to us, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go for a hike here.

And it was beautiful! The paths were very well maintained and it was easy walking/hiking on the main path. It is quite an experience hiking through the stunning snowy pine trees with horse carriages carrying hikers/walkers that preferred an easier journey home. ????

There was only one problem… We didn’t have the right equipment. The most problematic item of clothing was our non-waterproof tekkies. Soon after starting our hike, the snow started falling thickly and our feet got wet and very cold very fast ????

Our tips for visiting Dolina Koscieliska
◾Wear the right clothing, be prepared for the cold (in winter of course)
◾ If you are looking for a hike, don’t stick to the main path because this is more like a leisurely stroll.
◾ Be aware of the wildlife and visit responsibly (no littering, loud noises, etc.)
