And also the least visited country! Recently
I paid a visit to Moldova for my first time ever. A country that many people questioned me for when I told them I was going there.

The capital of Moldova is Chisinau. I expected to encounter a city full of Soviet sites and a very Soviet atmosphere (usually the type of cities I quite enjoy).

However, Chisinau was much more diverse than that. Yes, a lot of Soviet buildings. But also, a lot of beautiful X architecture. The city was also way more modern, clean, and well organized than I expected.

I noticed it had some positive western influences and without the negative western problems.

A new favorite of mine! I’m definitely heading back at some point next year. Chisinau is a great city to live in.
