Do you know which country is the least visited in Europe? If you guessed Moldova, you would be correct! In this Eastern Europe Vlog, we will take you around Europe’s least visited capital city, Chișinău, the capital and largest city of Moldova.

Looking for what to do as a tourist in Chisinau? Visit the triumphal arch, roam around the Ștefan cel Mare Central Park, dance with some locals, look at the many sad fountains, and look at the unique Moldova architecture.

Our friend Larence took us to the local cafeteria-style restaurant, Gălbenuș. We just pointed to whatever looked good and ended up with a plate of cabbage, balls of chicken, beef cutlet, and mushroom gravy. The food was fantastic and very affordable! Our entire meal at Gălbenuș costs a total of $3, which makes Moldova a great option if you are traveling Europe on a budget!

We finished off our day by checking out a statue that shows Moldova’s soviet past. The statue of Lenin, who is joined by Karl Marx and Georgi Dimitrov (the first communist leader of Bulgaria). Originally erected in 1949 outside Government House, it was dismantled and moved to the part-abandoned Expo Center in 1991. This is allegedly the last remaining public statue of Lenin left in the Moldovan capital and most other soviet remnants in Moldova have been removed.

Chisinau is unlike any other city we’ve visited, in the best possible way! We highly recommend people visit Chisinau, Moldova in 2022! After watching, do you think you should visit Chisinau, Moldova in 2022?
