Norway can have have very cold winters with lots of snow. The inland of Northern Norway have an arctic type of climate with snow, strong winds and severe frost. Take part in activities such as downhill or cross country skiing, skating, snowmobiling or ice sailing in the freezing Norwegian waters. Afterwards take a peaceful ride in a horse drawn sleigh, relax in a sauna, or sip a hot drink by a crackling fire.
Poland is a wonderful place for a winter break. It is easy to get there with direct flights from several UK airports and their is a warm, charming atmosphere during the winter months.
