Before Travel Information About Benagil Cave:

Benagil is located on the Southern coast of the Algarve in Portugal. It is probably best known for its sea cave, which attracts a large number of visitors throughout the year.

Not only is Benagil well known for its sea cave but it is also very well known for its coastline, which has unique rock formations and lovely beaches and coves.

Situated between the popular holiday resorts of Praia do Carvoeiro and Armação de Pêra Benagil was once a small fishing village. Today, Benagil is now a popular holiday resort, that attracts tourists each year.

Getting To Benagil:

Due to its increasing popularity, getting to the cave has become much easier. You can now take a boat trip from Benagil, as well as from other destinations.

Boat Trips:

One of the safest ways to reach the caves, is to take one of the many boats trips that run to the cave. As you can imagine, in the height of the Summer months, the boat trips can become very busy, especially the ones from Benagil Beach itself.

There are other bot trips that run from nearby locations, including both Armação de Pêra and Carvoeiro.

Boat trips also run from resorts further afield, such as Albufeira, Portimão, Lagos and Vilamoura.
