Exploring the ancient town with 5000 years of European history // Living in Germany, is a video of a visit to Ladenburg. This town is built on Celtic and roman foundations. It had the largest roman forum and market Basilica construction north of the Alps. During the second world war, it survived the allied aircraft and remained almost untouched. We get to see German houses, how the Germans built the homes and we have a chance to see how how the house construction had been in the medieval period. Unfortunately, Mannheim took the full force of world war two and that is why they look very different. Germany has many medieval towns, ancient buildings and castles across the country. It is in the center of Europe which puts it at the center of European history.
The design of Germany and German homes are very different to American homes and many German houses are very different to modern British homes.
