Blue water, endless beaches, nature and relaxed flair, that's Faro. The capital of the Algarve, Portugal.

In this video, I show you the beach of Faro (Praia do Faro) and the close by nature park Ria Farmosa (Parque Natural da Ria Formosa) with it's unique ecosystem where a lot of animals can be observed. After that, I show you some parts of the city of Faro, like the old town with it's access through the archway Arco da Vila and the cathedral at the Largo da Sé.

If you visit the Algarve, you should definietly check out Faro. Many people come to Portugal via the Faro Airport, so it's a nice opportunity to experience the Algarve right after arriving.

This video is the first of a series on Portugal, covering the Algarve and Alentejo.
