The Czech city of Liberec has a population of only 104,000. Nevertheless, there is a tram system with four lines on two different track gauges. This makes Liberec the only city in the world where there are Tatra T3 trams on two different track gauges. Since 1990, all tracks from 1000 mm gauge to the standard gauge of 1435 mm have been converted piece by piece. The renovation will be completed in July 2021. The last two narrow-gauge lines will run in Liberec for the last time on July 17, 2021.
