Russians have a long lasting relationship with Berlin. The Soviet Union shaped the culture of the German capital in many ways. It's still a very popular tourist destination for Russians, today not only for the history, but also for the techno scene. Russians love techno.

There are now an estimated 300,000 Russians living in Berlin, most of them in the district Charlottenburg, also called "Charlottengrad". The rest lives in Marzahn.
