Today I’m heading just outside the capital to visit the world-famous Cricova Winery – an underground city of wine cellars stretching over 120 km and located more than 60 meters below ground.

Cricova is one of the largest wineries in the world, with a fascinating history dating back to 1952. On this tour we explore the cold tunnels, see how sparkling wines are traditionally made, learn about their unique bottle-turning process, and even discover stories about famous visitors like Yuri Gagarin.
