Explored Cricova Winery - Underground Wine City | Moldova
Located 15 km from the capital Chisinau, Cricova is fascinating. A former limestone mine turned into a huge underground wine production and cellar.
Seeing how the wine is made and stored, as well as examples of famous wines, made it well worth the trip from Chisinau.
We took a business tour that included:
The excursion:
-The underground streets
-The maturing section
-Sparkling wine production section
-National collection and “Tasting Rooms”
Cinema
-Tasted 4 types of wines
(Nuts, biscuits, water)
Price per person: 500 Leu (approximately 29 US Dollars / 25 Euros )
