I traveled through the heart of Eastern Europe to explore the contrast between Chisinau ( Moldova ), and the frozen-in-time streets of Tiraspol ( Transnistria ). Blending modern life with the haunting echoes of the Soviet Union.

After spending a couple of days in Moldova, we headed to a country in Eastern Europe that doesn't exist that calls itself Transnistria (or Pridnestrovie). I have visited Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) to find a living Soviet Union spirit where the USSR legacy still thrives through monuments and architecture.

From the energy of Moldova to the surreal atmosphere of Tiraspol, I wanted to see what life in the communist Soviet Union might have felt like in this unrecognized state.
