Welcome to Robbie Travels and today I am Exploring the city of Katowice Poland and Why You Should Visit this city. This is my third video of five exploring Poland series.

Katowice is also struggling with a negative image. Coal and steel are what built this city and this gave the city a somewhat dull and grey reputation. I explored Katowice for a few days and in this travel vlog, I am sharing why you should visit Katowice.

Despite all the bad myths of Katowice, it is truly one of Poland’s most beautiful towns. This is a thriving city that offers a fun-filled holiday for visitors. There is so much to see and explore in this mysterious location, from an experience of diverse cultures to indulging in local cuisine, and from seeing fascinating structures to stunning city scenes.

The popular Culture Zone, renowned for its soothing environment, is one of the best places to visit while at Katowice. This is where most museums are housed, and where the city’s revitalization is most visible. So, let’s see why you need to visit Katowice.

▶️ Reasons to Visit Katowice:

• An Engaging Industrial Heritage: Katowice has been an industrial center for centuries. Find out about its history at attractions like the Nikiszowiec miners' estate and the Museum of Katowice History.

• Art and Architecture Spanning Centuries: You can get your fill of artistic wonders at the Silesian Museum or the Archdiocesan Museum, which focuses on sacred artworks. Street art and there are plenty of works to explore in Katowice. Very cool to see that Poland doesn’t perceive street art as vandalism, but as enrichment for the urban landscape.

• Beautiful Parks and Gardens: Relax in between museums at gorgeous spots like Kosciuszko Park and the Silesian Zoological Garden, which hosts 2,500 animals and a colony of dinosaur models as well.

• Explore the Silesian Countryside: With a rental car, you can easily reach historical sights like Jasna Góra or formidable castles like Zamek Ogrodzieniec.

• Music Events for Everyone: Katowice hosts popular events like the Jazz and Beyond Festival and Metalmania, while the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra regularly performs in town.
