On Day 9 of our trip we again spent a lot of time travelling, this time from one former republic of the USSR - Ukraine - to another - Moldova. We awoke in Chernivitsi with the aim of ending up in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. However, the only direct buses were through the night, so instead we took a detour via Romania, heading first to Suceava, then taking the train to Iasi, before finally taking a minibus to Chisinau.
