Most apples are consumed at the Apple Festival. Moldova is among the top 10 apple exporting countries in the world, with an annual production of over 500 thousand tons. Dozens of apple producers gather in Soroca, on the first Sunday of October, during the National Apple Festival. The fortress on the Dniester, like a queen, is surrounded by a lot of beautiful people and exhibitions selling domestic products, agricultural techniques, apples, planting material, collections of folk craftsmen and stands of the town halls in the district. The 12th edition of the National Apple Festival took place on October 1, 2023.
