We traveled to Tiraspol, the capital city of Transnistria, a country which is not recognised and which is situated between Moldova and Ukraine.
Transnistria has its own flag, its own currency, border control, the official language is Russian, its own vehicle registration plate; but is it a country or not? It has actually been recognised by only three other mostly unrecognised breakaway states: Abkhazia, Artsakh, and South Ossetia.
