"Why are you going to Katowice?"

On my European travels in 2019, I decided to break down my journey from Krakow to Brno with a short stay in Katowice. When I told friends of my plans, the reaction was mostly negative. I was told that Katowice was an ugly, industrial city with nothing worth visiting.

Whilst it might not be as picturesque as other, more popular, Polish cities, I actually found Katowice to be a very cool city with great bars and coffee shops. I returned to Katowice once again on my way to Brno. This time, I discovered street art, a food market and an excellent museum and art gallery in an old mine.

Give Katowice a chance. It might surprise you!

After 18 months of a life on pause, thanks to the sodding corona virus, and endless hours on Google Maps checking out all the places I want to visit, the time has finally arrived to begin my travels in Europe.

Starting in Berlin, I plan to travel east as far as Georgia and taking in pretty much all of the countries in between.

I will be vlogging my way through Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey and probably many more.

Join me from the start of my journey so you can say you were there right from the start :)

Subscribe and ring that bell and all that nonsense.
