Festival Órgão Algarve´20 | Beatriz Resendes

Nos dias 13 e 14 de novembro, a jovem organista Beatriz Resendes apresentou-se na Igreja Paroquial de Boliqueime e na Igreja do Carmo em Faro, para integrar como organista convidada a 13.ª edição do Festival de Órgão do Algarve, organizado pela Associação Música XXI.

Beatriz Resendes iniciou os estudos musicais no Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa com o professor António Esteireiro. Em 2017, terminou a licenciatura em órgão na Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa na classe do professor João Vaz. Durante o seu percurso académico musical teve a oportunidade de participar em diversas masterclasses com professores como François Espinasse, Jean Ferrard, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Jan Willem Jansen, Roberto Antonello e José González Uriol.

Destaca-se também a participação no Festival de Órgão de Haarlem em 2012 como Young Talent onde tocou nas masterclasses de Margaret Phillips e Oliver Latry. Como solista apresentou-se em recitais na Sé de Lisboa, na Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Cabo e nos ciclos de concertos do Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (2012 e 2013). Em 2013 ganhou o 1º prémio do concurso de órgão do Conservatório de Música de Ourém e Fátima.

Música francesa, italiana, ibérica, alemã, holandesa, inglesa e, naturalmente, portuguesa, foram os temas escolhidos para a sua apresentação no Algarve, utilizando para isso os órgãos históricos do final do século XVIII, que se encontram nos coros altos da Igreja Paroquial de Boliqueime e na Igreja do Carmo em Faro. No final destes concertos, que acompanhamos a par e passo e em direto, tivemos o ensejo de conhecer um pouco melhor esta jovem de 25 talentosa e com uma grande paixão pela música e por estes magníficos e imponentes instrumentos musicais que são os órgãos.

On the 13th and 14th of November, the young organist Beatriz Resendes performed at the Parish Church of Boliqueime and at the Carmo Church in Faro, to join as the invited organist the 13th edition of the Algarve Organ Festival, organized by Associação Música XXI.

Beatriz Resendes started her musical studies at the Gregorian Institute in Lisbon with professor António Esteireiro. In 2017, he finished his degree in organ at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa in the class of professor João Vaz. During his academic musical career, he had the opportunity to participate in several masterclasses with teachers such as François Espinasse, Jean Ferrard, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Jan Willem Jansen, Roberto Antonello and José González Uriol.

Also noteworthy is the participation in the Haarlem Organ Festival in 2012 as Young Talent where he played in the masterclasses of Margaret Phillips and Oliver Latry. As a soloist he performed in recitals at the Sé de Lisboa, in the Church of Nossa Senhora do Cabo and in the concert cycles of the Jerónimos Monastery (2012 and 2013). In 2013 he won the 1st prize of the organ contest at the Conservatory of Music of Ourém and Fátima.

French, Italian, Iberian, German, Dutch, English and, of course, Portuguese music were the themes chosen for their presentation in the Algarve, using the historical organs of the late 18th century, which are found in the high choirs of the Parish Church Boliqueime and the Carmo Church in Faro. At the end of these concerts, which we follow step by step and live, we had the opportunity to get to know this talented young woman with a great passion for music and for these magnificent and imposing musical instruments that are the organs a little better.
